Welding engineer
Based on information about the shape, dimensions and quantity of the components to be welded, welding engineers (m/f/d) make decisions about the welding processes to be used. They plan and monitor the work processes and check whether all welding work - in particular the acceptance tests - has been carried out correctly.
In the production of components, welding engineers (m/f/d) work together with the employees in welding production and the design office. They define the technical specifications for the preparation, execution, post-treatment and testing of weld seams to ensure safe and durable structures.
In addition, welding engineers (m/f/d) are responsible for ensuring that trained personnel and suitable workshops, machines, devices and equipment, including welding materials, are available to the required extent.
