Polished stainless steel
Polished stainless steel is most often given a uniform, straight cut. However, many conceivable grinding patterns can also be applied to the metal on request.
The metalworker uses a hand grinder on which a grinding wheel is placed. The so-called grain size on the grinding wheel (e.g. K240) determines how rough or fine the metal is subsequently ground. The finer (higher) the grit size, the smoother the surface.
Common grit sizes are K80, K120, K240, K320 and K400.
Grinding is one of Arnold's standard in-house services. There are no limits to the possibilities of grinding patterns. One of Arnold's specialties is the visually perfect restoration of surfaces without visible machining marks, e.g. after welding.
