Incoterms
The Incoterms (International Commercial Terms) are issued by the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce). As a contractual agreement between seller and buyer, they cover all tasks, risks and costs associated with the movement of goods and are therefore among the most important trade terms worldwide.
The Incoterms use the following nomenclature.
- EXW - Ex Works // Ex Works
- FCA - Free Carrier // Free Carrier
- FAS - Free Alongside Ship // Free Alongside Ship [sea and inland waterway transport only]
- FOB - Free on Board // Free on Board [sea and inland waterway transportation only]
- CPT - Carriage Paid To // Carriage Paid To
- CIP - Carriage and Insurance Paid To
- CFR - Cost and Freight // Cost and Freight [sea and inland waterway transportation]
- CIF - Cost, Insurance and Freight // Cost, Insurance and Freight [Sea and inland waterway transportation]
- DAP - Delivered at Place // Delivered at Place
- DPU - Delivered at Place Unloaded // Delivered at Place Unloaded
- DDP - Delivered Duty Paid // Delivered Duty Paid
