EN 15085

Manufacturers of rail vehicles and vehicle parts demonstrate their suitability for welding metallic materials in the manufacture and repair of such parts through certification in accordance with DIN EN 15085.

EN 15085 is divided into 3 classes: CL1, CL2 and CL3. CL1 describes the highest requirements for the manufacture of rail vehicle components. Only companies that have been awarded the CL1 welding certificate are permitted to manufacture such components.
