We are committed to sustainability and want to meet both the current and future needs of our society and the environment. That is why we always take three aspects into account in our actions:

As a manufacturing company, we unfortunately make use of the earth's finite resources. Environmental protection and thus the survival of all living beings are naturally a high priority. That is why we do everything possible to reduce our environmental impact and conserve natural resources. We prioritize and promote projects within the company that serve these goals.

The impact on our society is also important. This includes working under fair conditions, strict observance of and compliance with human rights and a clear commitment to fighting corruption. We pay great attention to all of these issues. We are also involved in the local community and support social projects.

We act responsibly in all our decisions. Communicating openly and honestly about our activities and their impact on our environment and society is a matter of course for us.
Sustainable Development Goals as a model
We are part of a large society and only together can we stand up for a sustainable future and the preservation of our planet. We are ready to do our part. That is why we support the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the UN in its "Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development" and are involved in projects at Arnold that promote these goals.
We pay particular attention to ensuring that pollutant emissions are as low as possible and have no direct impact on our environment. In order to make an active contribution to reducing global warming, we purchase 100% green electricity and are expanding our ability to generate our own electricity in the long term.
Avoiding water pollution: an important task
Water contamination is a serious and growing problem that endangers the environment and the health and well-being of humans and animals.
We use a relatively large amount of water in the production process, mainly at the Friedrichsdorf site, to clean metallic surfaces of residues (e.g. grease). Of course, we do not simply discharge the resulting contaminated water into the public sewer system, but treat it in our own water treatment plant. In addition, the wastewater quality is monitored around the clock and regularly checked by independent specialist companies to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Clean energy: using alternative energy processes
Our goal is to produce completely CO2-neutral from 2030. This is why alternative energy processes have long been a major topic. Technically optimized control of electricity and heat generation: With an intelligent higher-level control system for all electricity and heat requirements at the Friedrichsdorf site, we regulate energy generation via the PV system and the CHP plant as required.
Photovoltaics (PV)
Since 2013, we have had two large photovoltaic systems in Friedrichsdorf with a total of 988 solar panels and an output of almost 230 kWp. We generate 230,000 kW hours of electricity.
Combined heat and power unit (CHP)
With our own combined heat and power plant at the Friedrichsdorf site, we generate electricity and at the same time use the resulting waste heat for the paint shops.
