Adhesive lead – medium to low radiation intensity systems
For machines with medium to low radiation intensity, Arnold uses adhesive lead foil to seal off any outward emissions. The advantage of adhesive lead is it's malleability, which is especially useful in transitions.
The foil, which can be up to 2 mm thick, must be very carefully and precisely applied by trained employees.

Tailor-made lead work
Adhesive lead foils are relatively easy to process due to their low weight and flexibility. Arnold specialists cut them into the right shape with a knife without introducing any heat into the lead in order to prevent toxic vapors.
The flexible lead foil can be easily pushed into corners and folded over edges to ensure a reliable seal. The foil is self-adhesive on one side, which means that no further adhesives are applied on the components.
Due to the low dead weight of lead foil, the sandwich construction used for rolled lead plates can be omitted. The foil is simply applied.
This means that previously coated and powder-coated cover parts can also be lead-plated.
Pre-coated lead foils are available optionally. With this foil, the thin layer of tin is varnished. But this only makes sense economically for larger purchase quantities. Please inquiry for more information.
