Design your ideas in 3D
Every job starts with the design: as a technical product designer, you use special 3D design software, also known as CAD, to design components and entire assemblies for our products and internal projects on the computer.
You will create technical drawings and parts lists that will later be used to assemble the components in production. Need a model? No problem! With the 3D printer, you can make your plastic product a reality in advance on a reduced scale. And if the customer already has a model, you scan it from all sides with the 3D scanner and then process the data with the appropriate software so that we can use it further.
Do you already have a drawing from our customer? As the technical contact person, you will be on hand to offer advice, support and knowledge. By selecting the right materials, you will help them to optimize costs and make work easier for your colleagues in production.
In our many apprentice projects, on the other hand, you can give free rein to your creativity and incorporate your own design ideas. What should the new staircase for the loading ramp look like? How could we design our trainee break area so that it costs less? How can we design the tool cabinet for the paint shop to save even more space? You'll find the right solution!

What you need for this apprenticeship
Your strong spatial imagination helps you to visualize the finished product while drawing. You enjoy working on the computer a lot and also have a knack for design. You find your way around technical drawings and you quickly learn which materials and joining techniques are best suited to what. If you can then discuss your designs with your trainer, your colleagues or our customers, you will be in your element!
