In the summer of 2021, the venerable Qatar Museums Authority unveiled the majestic sculpture "Falcon" by Tom Claassen, which proudly represents the country's national bird, at the magnificent Hamad International Airport in Doha.

A falcon for Doha

This project was a creative rollercoaster ride that challenged and inspired us in equal measure. Over 300 days of hard work went into the creation of this jaw-dropping work of art, soars to a height of 12 meters and weighs an impressive 7.5 tons. With dedication, we formed steel, aluminum and stainless steel into a seamless structure, ensuring to leave no visible seams and to breathe life into the noble plumage with a special gold coating.

A bird on a voyage

The transportation of this work of art on a specially equipped ship and its installation with the help of 80-ton cranes was also a real adventure that we carry in our hearts with pride. We extend gratitute towards those who believed and placed their trust in us.
