"The work is not about creating an object or a product - it's about sharing feelings."

Jonathan Prince is an artist whose sculptures explore the boundaries between science, technology and spirituality. His works are not just objects, but reflections on the interplay between perfection and imperfection, chaos and order. Born in New York City, he moved to the Berkshires in Massachusetts, where he has lived and worked for two decades. However, the roots of his passion go back a long way: as a teenager, he met the legendary sculptor Jacques Lipchitz, whose influence had a lasting effect on him.

Originally, Prince took a completely different direction and decided to pursue a career as an oral surgeon. But he never let go of art. In 2002, he took the decisive step: he returned to sculpture and created a state-of-the-art production facility in the Berkshires. Since then, he has created works that fascinate with their monumental presence and their profound exploration of material and form.

Shatter I-III

The outer surfaces of Corten steel represent "Euclidean" geometric shapes that suggest mathematical perfection on the outside, while the inner surfaces reflect fractures, cracks and scars - metaphors for the human experience. Corten and mirror-polished marine stainless steel. Series: Shatter

"Creativity is a fundamental element of my life and my spiritual practice. I explore the ideas I investigate and look for ways to bring them into form."

Turbulence Column

Stainless steel with high chrome content, 85 x 19 x 19 in. (215.9 x 48.3 x 48.3 cm), Series: Turbulence

His sculptures play with contrasts: Smooth, flawless surfaces meet rough, seemingly destroyed structures. This deliberate tension lends his works a special depth and invites viewers to reflect on the relationship between vulnerability and strength. His works are represented in private and public collections worldwide and bear witness to his tireless quest to make the invisible visible through art.

From an inquisitive young apprentice to a visionary artist who has built his own creative empire, Jonathan Prince's career is a story of passion, courage and the constant urge to explore new dimensions. His art challenges, touches and inspires, inviting us to discover the fine lines between science, technology and the poetry of life.

Jello Cubes

Jonathan Prince's Jello Cubes are sculptures made of solid metal that create an illusion of softness and flexibility. Although they are made of solid material, they almost look like jelly that has been deformed by pressure or gravity. These works play with the tension between stability and instability, precision and chance.

These sculptures reflect Prince's interest in dualities: stability and instability, solid and liquid, control and chance. With their shiny surfaces and precisely worked forms, they invite the viewer to reflect on the boundaries of materiality and perception.

We look forward with great anticipation to future projects by Jonathan Prince, which will once again transport us into the fascinating world of his sculptural art.
