The sculpture has recently found its way back to the perfect public space - the marvellous backdrop of stadtpalaisstuttgart. The Filderkraut, which was ordered here by King Wilhelm II over a hundred years ago, is a true cultural asset of the region that more than deserves such a tribute. Let’s shine the spotlight together on this underrated superfood, cabbage, and celebrate it in style!

We cannot take for granted a stable ground.
Och eller inte, translated as And Or Not, is an assembly of intersecting figures. Gathered around a recess in the ground they appear to have fallen or being about to fall and form a heap. The heap of patterned figures joins a series of smaller and larger spaces, providing outlooks and forming a new ground. It is a many-sided character, based on both physical and virtual simulations of falling figures. Not far from the site is another heap, "the porcelain dump" - an artificial mound made up of ceramic debris and shards from the area’s long history of porcelain production. Och eller inte borrows its figures and patterns from everyday porcelain, monumental objects as well as from woodcut tradition. The three words in the title describe logical operations that make possible union, intersection, and complementation.

Today marks a century since our founding in 1924 by Karl Arnold, whose motto “There’s no such thing as impossible!” has driven our success. From our early patents and medals for the construction of wash boilers and butchers’ kettles to relocating to Friedrichsdorf in 1965, and tackling international projects like the Caracas Opera in 1983 and Sheremetyevo Airport in 2008, we’ve continuously innovated and grown.
With milestones like the first welding robot and advanced laser welding technology, we’ve set new industry standards. As we celebrate 100 years of challenges and achievements, we stay true to our philosophy and look forward to the future. Here’s to the next 100 years!

arnoldag_metalligent Here we present news on the subject of miniature sculptures, starting with our very own ‘Arnold Cup’. The special thing about the 3d-printed objects is that they are planned completely digitally and therefore no mould construction is necessary. This also means that we use 100% material without surplus and are therefore very sustainable. In addition, our miniature sculptures can be scaled to almost any desired size. In this case, 16 Arnold trophies were created, each differing from the other in fine details and is therefore unique - psssst, in a strictly limited edition.

When Achim Ripperger came to us at the beginning of February with the vision of transferring his sculpture „Bloom“ from wood to metal, it was not certain whether this project would work. However, it has now become clear that Ripperger’s vision can be turned into reality without losing his own characteristic style, which was previously evident in his wooden works. Using 3D metal printing and an additional welding process, as well as several rounds of elaborate polishing, we proudly present the small metallic flower twin of his wooden sculpture just in time for spring: Welcome to this world, Baby Bloom; welcome to Arnold, because you are the first of your kind - but you will definitely not be the last. Thank you Achim Ripperger for this wonderful transformation!
