The "Communication" sculpture is up again — back in its spot at the roundabout on Homburger Landstraße in Friedrichsdorf as of April 30th.
After an accident left it damaged, the piece had to come down. We fabricated the two signature yellow aluminium forms from scratch and reinstalled them.
Sculptor Ann Reder designed it in 2016 as a tribute to Philipp Reis — the inventor of the telephone, who lived in Friedrichsdorf in the 19th century. Two curved forms facing each other, representing both distance and closeness in communication. Quiet, but striking.
Glad to have it back. 😊

Since 2021, "Passage" by Chiharu Shiota has been permanently installed at the WINX Tower Frankfurt, an artwork that tells the story of the city as a historic trading hub. We built and installed a major part of it. From the first concept to the final installation, this project pushed us in every direction, technically, craftsmanship-wise, and logistically, and it's one we're genuinely proud of to this day.

🌸 Am neuen Luisen-Gymnasium nimmt die Arbeit „Bloom“ von Project Twins Schritt für Schritt Gestalt an. Aktuell montiert das Team der Schreinerei Puller + Scheidtmann vor Ort die ersten Elemente der Installation. Die Serie aus lasergeschnittenen Aluminiumblumen wird sich künftig als durchgehende Linie aus Farbe und Form entlang von Treppen und Balkonen durch das Gebäude ziehen, das zum neuen Schuljahr den Betrieb aufnimmt.
Jede Blume trägt ihren eigenen Charakter. Zusammen entsteht ein offenes System, das Themen wie Vielfalt, Entwicklung und individuelle Wege aufgreift – im Sinne des Schulmottos „Vielfalt leben“. 🌿
Die Arbeit ist dabei nicht nur Bild, sondern Teil des Raums: integriert in die Wandflächen, mit Tiefe und Bewegung, angelegt als Einladung zur Wahrnehmung, zum Entdecken und zum Verweilen.
💪🏻 Unser herzlicher Dank geht an Puller + Scheidtmann mit deren Mitarbeiter*innen für die tolle Arbeit und die Bereitschaft im Reel aufzutauchen: Mathias Vogt, Denny Kube, Jan-Niklas Penger und Rieke Seepker. 🤗

arnoldag_metalligent For the sculptural ceiling of the new Terminal 3, Fraport sought a partner who could unite design vision, engineering expertise, and fabrication competence. After being commissioned in 2022, we began transforming the visionary concept by @lava.futures into a technically feasible structure. From the concept phase, it was clear – this project demanded more than standard solutions.
The foundation was a parametric design approach: algorithms defined every tube bend, angle, and fixing point based on data. True production data was generated directly from the digital model – without manual rework, and with adaptable change logic down to the smallest detail.
Only then did realization begin at our production sites in Friedrichsdorf and Steinbach Hallenberg, where substructures and the first prototypes of the light funnels were formed from hundreds of individually folded aluminum sheets.
